Harrow buys Manchester site for mixed-use scheme

Regeneration specialist Harrow Estates has paid around £11m for the 44-acre Ciba Chemical site in East Manchester.

The site has potential for more than 900 new homes, new shops and leisure facilities as well as new office space.

Ciba is still in operation at the plant and no timescale has been given for the work to start.

A planning application for the site is due to be submitted later this year.
