Residential property group Grainger Trust, Islington Council and the housing association group Guinness Trust have entered into a £70m multi-site mixed use regeneration partnership.
The partnership will target three sites, which have all received planning permission, in Hornsey, Downham Road and Barnsbury.
Plans for the Hornsey Road scheme include 146 apartments, 62 affordable homes, 43,000 sq ft of offices, an 8,000 sq ft Surestart centre and 17,500 sq ft of community space.
The Barnsbury development will include 105 flats and 37 affordable homes.
Work expected to begin on site at Downham Road and Hornsey Road soon.
Richard Exley, director of development at Grainger, said: “We are delighted to have completed this important transaction and are looking forward to working with Islington Council and Guinness Trust.
“This will be Grainger’s largest development project to date and is a good fit with our evolving strategy of focusing on larger mixed use development projects.”
