An entire Georgian crescent in Bath has been sold for more than £10m.
The Grade 1 listed Somerset Place has been sold by Bath Spa University to a joint venture between Future Heritage, a Bath-based company which specialises in restoring and redeveloping listed buildings, and Propinvest Holdings Ltd.
Future Heritage plans to restore the 16 five-storey houses and convert them into a mixture of houses, flats and maisonettes.
Bath Spa University will put the cash towards a new campus building.
Future Heritage was one of 27 bidders for the crescent. It intends to make a planning application next spring and start work on site in autumn 2008.
Bath Spa University was advised by Savills.
