Midland-based developer Mucklow has submitted planning for a £12m industrial scheme in Dudley, West Midlands.
Plans for phase one of development on the 12.5 acre site – known as Yorks Place includes two buildings with 18,000 sq ft and 23,000 sq ft of industrial space respectively, and preparation work for phase two which will accommodate up to 130,000 sq ft of development.
Mucklow was chosen by Regional Development Agency Advantage West Midlands (AWM) to develop the former mining and landfill site located on the outskirts of Dudley, after Dudley council completed £5m remediation work.
Planning approval pending, work will begin onsite early next year with completion aimed for mid-2007.
Mucklow managing director Justin Parker said: “We hope to secure planning consent before the end of the year.
“This is our first development in Dudley for a number of years and we are looking forward to working closely with Advantage West Midlands and Dudley Council in making it a success.
“Steve Holland, head of asset management at AWM, said: “The Agency has a key priority to create a world-class region in which to do business and this scheme is an excellent example of public sector partners working with a leading private sector company to create jobs and bring prosperity to Dudley.
