The rise of Stanhope’s Mr Helter Skelter

The Mail on Sunday carries an interview with Stanhope’s David Camp.

Camp explains his frustration with the London planning system. “Week by week the planning system is getting more complicated, time consuming and expensive,” he says.

“For really big projects you are up to £20m and five years to get the planning consent.”

“You have to be a certain mentality or insane to get involved in this type of work”, he says.
