Redrow Homes to expand Scottish operations

Redrow Homes has announced plans to expand its house-building operations in Scotland.

The company, which currently builds 500 homes in Scotland each year, has promoted former operations director Colin Crombie to regional director to lead the initiative.

Its growth strategy is anchored by a 12-year redevelopment project of the former Royal Ordnance Factory site in Bishopton, which has scope for 2,500 new homes.

As part of the general expansion, Redrow is looking to cultivate two separate offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Crombie said: “Our primary focus is to secure more land and to drive the business forward.

“We are looking to build on the strength of our historic land bank across the central belt, to increase operations in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and to introduce the Redrow brand to new areas.”
