Components plants will set up within an hour of Cowley Mini facility

HBPO, Faurecia and Intier Automotive will build components factories within an hour’s distance from BMW’s Cowley, Oxford, plant where the German carmaker is investing £200m in boosting production of a new range of Mini.

BMW is investigating the possibility of establishing railway links between the Oxford assembly plant, its pressings works at Swindon and its Hams Hall engine factory.
