Father and daughter in dispute over Worksop farms trust

Two farms with a freehold value of more than £2.5m are the subject of a dispute between father and daughter.

Jane Walker, 28, a barrister, is suing her father Bill, for the family’s assets: the 256 acre Holme House farm and the 138 acre Cotterhill Woods, near Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

They were put into a trust that Jane’s grandfather set up that named her and her younger sister, Kate, as the beneficiaries, with their father having no interest. However, her father claims the “true spirit” of the trust was to provide him with a comfortable retirement.

The case at the High Court continues.
