Greene King is to sell about 150 tenanted pubs, mostly in the South of England.
It is believed to have appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers to advise it on the sale of the mostly tenanted houses.
They are thought to be a mix of smaller, drinks-led operations with property redevelopment potential. Admiral Taverns and Trust Inns are both tipped to bid.
