Dunlop Haywards’ executive chairman Bob Dyson is quitting the firm to join Jones Lang LaSalle.
Dyson will join JLL as chairman of its North West region in early 2007.
Dyson, who will be London-based, will work alongside Jonathan Mills, JLL’s Head of Manchester.
His role will be to expand JLL’s development capabilities.
Dyson, who has more than 30 years experience in the property sector, was instrumental in putting together Manchester’s first major urban regeneration scheme at Barbirolli Square.
He has recently been involved in many of Manchester’s major development schemes including Spinningfields; Kingsway, Rochdale; 40 Spring Gardens; Belvedere; Middletown Town Centre; and Kings Business Park; Knowlsley.
Mills said: “Bob is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures on the Manchester property scene. We are delighted to be able to attract someone of Bob’s calibre into our business to complement our existing team.
“His great experience and track record in development and regeneration projects; and his breadth of senior-level contacts will be a terrific asset as we grow our business.”
