Manchester-based developer CTP has teamed up with Jersey-based Le Masurier for a £25m extension to the prime retail core in St Helier, Jersey.
The jv has submitted an application for the 110,000 sq ft scheme, which includes a 70,000 sq ft foodstore and a refurbishment of the existing Odeon cinema to provide large floorplate retail space.
The site is wholly owned by Le Masurier and is located on Bath Street.
The Jersey government has completed various studies highlighting the need for more retail space on the island.
The developers say the scheme complies with the latest States of Jersey planning guidelines, including the Island Plan.
The architect is Chapman Taylor and the sole letting agent is Tushingham Moore.
