Rank Group could announce the sale of its Hard Rock Cafe chain to Seminole Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos for about $975m (£493m) as early as this week.
Final details were being hammered out last night.
The sale is expected to fuel rumours of an offer for the rest of Rank, which includes Grosvenor Casinos, the UK’s second-largest casinos operation.
