Redevco is hoping to turn around the fortunes of Birmingham’s Corporation Street after signing budget retailer New Look as the anchor for the redevelopment of the former Beatties department store.
New Look will open a 40,000 sq ft, multi-level store at the scheme.
Redevco paid £8.7m for the 150,000 sq ft building last March after the Beatties chain was bought by House of Fraser for £69m.
HoF then closed the Birmingham store and surrendered the lease to Redevco.
