Artisan Property Group has poached Bovis Lend Lease UK chief executive Jason Millett.
The Manchester-based regeneration specialist has appointed Millett as deputy chief executive where he will work with Artisan’s chief executive and chairman Carol Ainscow.
Millett, who has spent 20-years working for Bovis, will work from Artisan’s headquarters at Express Networks in Manchester’s Ancoats area.
Artisan Property Group, which employs almost 200 staff, has 16 projects underway and a development pipeline with an end value of more than £600m.
The company has major residential and mixed-use property projects including the King’s Dock in Liverpool, Eastside Valley in Manchester and others in Salford, Bradford and Sheffield.
Ainscow said: “Jason is the latest addition to the team that we’re building at Artisan. We are investing in an expanding pool of talent that allows us to deliver on a growing number of projects.”
Millet will be part of an executive team that includes managing director, construction and development Steve Todd (ex Laing), development director Jonathan Wilkinson (ex GVA Grimley) and commercial director Ian Fogg (ex Crosby Homes).
Millett said: “Carol and I share a reputation for predictable delivery and will form a formidable partnership. I was greatly attracted by the opportunity to work with her and the team to take the company to the next stage of its development.
“Artisan’s focus on both property development and construction means it has the ability to self-deliver projects. I see 2007 being a very exciting and challenging year.”
