Burberry checks into Derwent’s Horseferry House

Derwent Valley has secured a pre-let of Horseferry House, SW1, to fashion giant Burberry.

The British clothing brand will relocate its international head office from Haymarket to the 160,000 sq ft office building in Westminster as first reported by Estates Gazette in August.

Horseferry House was purchased by Derwent Valley in 2005 and is undergoing a refurbishment that is scheduled to be complete in spring 2008.

Burberry will occupy the entire nine-storey building on a 25-year lease paying £5,292,000 pa, with an option to break at the end of the fifteenth year and an 18-month rent-free period.

The company is paying rent of £38.20 per sq ft.

Burberry was advised by Robert Neil & Co. Jones Lang LaSalle and Pilcher Hershman acts for Derwent Valley.
