Development Securities has teamed up with urban regeneration specialist Centros Miller for a second project.
The pair, which are already working together on a £60m retail-led scheme in Wells,
The jv plans a 200,000 sq ft residential and retail scheme on a 2.2-acre site known as the Southern Gateway. Shops will be provided on the ground floor below six floors of apartments.

The site, bounded by Telford Place and Southgate Avenue on the southern edge of Crawley town centre, is adjacent to land earmarked for a new library and offices by West Sussex county council, and is close to the County Mall shopping centre.
DevSec director Matthew Weiner said: “This opportunity initially involves a site assembly exercise, working with the relevant statutory authorities and securing planning consent.
“These are all key skills in the urban regeneration process and, working in conjunction with Centros Miller, we believe the joint venture has all the requirements to procure these types of project.
