Commercial investors and developers have an opportunity to acquire the landmark Fleetwood Pier in Lancashire.
The pier, which has a guide price of £500,000, was built in 1910. It is held on three leases for 999 years from 1906 at £21.25 pa, while the basement and bar terrace are held on three leases for 99 years from 1971 at £5,000 pa.
It comprises an entertainment centre with bar, children’s indoor play area, two restaurants, seafront shop, nightclub and a jetty extending 100m. It is being sold on behalf of Fleetwood Estates Co.
It will go under the gavel at Pugh & Co’s auction on 21 February at the Atlantic Suite, Manchester International Airport, with joint agent GVA Grimley.
Auctioneer Roy Pugh said the area surrounding Fleetwood was the focus of a high level of residential and commercial investment, together with improved transport links and proposals for new leisure and tourism operations.
