GE Real Estate UK’s new managing director, Mike Rowan, has put his stamp on the business with the establishment of two teams focusing on private and public property markets.
Rowan, who replaced Alec Burger as UK MD in September, has appointed Ilaria del Beato as MD of new business. Del Beate, who was head of asset management, will concentrate on equity investments and GE’s existing property deals.
Mike Bryant, a director of business development, has been promoted to MD of public market originations. His team will focus on buying minority stakes in listed companies and setting up joint venture projects with public companies.
Rowan said: “The restructuring of these teams will provide real strategic focus for the business and enable us to capitalise on opportunities.”
