BioRegional Quintain and Tees Valley Regeneration have got the go-ahead for a 1m sq ft mixed-use scheme at Middlehaven in Middlesbrough on Teesside.
The joint venture partners can now start bringing forward plans for the 40-acre site on waterfront land at the former Middlesbrough docks after getting the green light from Middlesbrough council.
Architect Will Alsop has masterplanned the scheme to include over 800,000 sq ft of offices, around 500,000 sq ft leisure facilities and 750 homes.
Detailed planning applications for the first two buildings will be submitted shortly, with construction scheduled to begin later this year.
