Colliers CRE is to expand its national office network following the £320,000 purchase of Cambridge-based surveyors Dodson Jones.
Colliers will pay £214,400 in cash and £105,600 in shares for the business, a surveying firm specialising in high tech business space, 50% upon completion with the remaining 50% payable over the next two years.
Partners Edward Dodson and Michael Jones will become directors within Colliers, and the new team will form part of the real estate consultancy’s national offices division.
Chairman Sir John Ritblat said: “It has been our stated aim that we will continue to expand our geographical coverage throughout the UK and the opening of a Cambridge office is all part of this regional expansion plan.”
Chief executive David Izett added: “The fact that we are opening the office via the acquisition of such an established firm as Dodson Jones means that we immediately have an excellent team in place and we can hit the ground running.
“I am delighted to welcome Dodson Jones to the Colliers CRE Group.”
