Derwent Living sells Nottingham student village

Derwent Living has sold a major city centre development in Nottingham this week.

The Glasshouse

The housing provider has offloaded the Glasshouse, a 600-bed student village in Huntingdon Street, to Ely Property Group for a figure in excess of £25m.

Derwent sold the scheme – the largest of its kind in Nottingham – to concentrate on its newest student accommodation site at the £70m mixed-use Trinity Square development in the city centre.

Ely is the largest provider of student accommodation in Ireland and has a number of student sites in the UK.

Derwent is one of the largest private providers of student accommodation in Nottingham – with more than 2,000 bed spaces.

The Glasshouse offers a mix of accommodation for students, who will principally be attending Nottingham Trent University.
