New Scottish planning authorities to be set up

Four strategic development planning authorities are to be established in Scotland’s largest cities: Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, and Glasgow.

They will work across council boundaries to draw up long-term plans for housing, employment, transport and green-belt land.

Planning in Scotland is facing its biggest shake-up for more than 60 years, following the new Planning Scotland Bill.
