Bolsterstone submits plans for Derby office scheme

Chesterfield-based Bolsterstone will submit detailed plans for 45,000 sq ft of speculative Grade A offices in Derby‘s Cathedral Quarter next month.

The developer has bought a 0.5-acre former motor dealership site in Cathedral Road for an undisclosed sum, and appointed Nottingham architect Franklin Ellis to design a four-storey office building.

Bolsterstone’s agent, Steve Salloway, said the company expected to complete in late 2008.

The area has also been identified for a 60,000 sq ft office scheme by Derby-based Cedar House Investments.

Public-private sector regeneration vehicle, Blueprint – set up by the East Midlands Development Agency, English Partnerships and Morley Fund Management – also aims to include 40,000 sq ft of offices in its nearby Bold Lane scheme.
