Speculative investors might be tempted by two adjacent islands situated in the River Fray in the centre of Uxbridge, Middlesex, which will be offered by Elliot Auctions at its sale on12 November.
Guided at £200,000-plus, the islands are virgin stock offered on behalf of a private client with permission to improve access by building a replacement road bridge, but with no other consents in place.
Toby Limbrick, director of Elliot Auctions, described the site as “difficult to price”.
“There is no planning permission and restricted access to the islands, which used to be a pig farm in the 1920s. There are residential properties on two sides of the islands and industrial buildings on the third.”
