Metropolitan Properties sues for sale of mansion block apartment

Benzion Freshwater’s Metropolitan Properties is seeking an order from the High Court to force the sale of a flat in Hyde Park Mansions in north west London.

The sale is being demanded in order to pay an outstanding judgment debt of £41,776 by the leaseholder Sandi St Paul in favour of Metropolitan.

Metropolitan claims that since St Paul has not paid the debt, its solicitor Hammond Bale should be allowed to sell the flat for a price of “not less than £600,000”.

The proceeds of sale will be used to: (i) pay the costs and expenses of the sale; (ii) discharge any charges over the property that have priority over Metropolitan’s claim; (iii) clear the judgment debt; and (iv) pay the balance to St Paul.
