Making Places, the jv between social housing provider Places for People and land regeneration specialist Cofton, has bought a 365-acre site to the east of Milton Keynes.
The Brooklands site has outline planning consent for a £350m residential scheme, comprising 2,500 homes, two schools, health and leisure facilities, and shops.
Construction work is set to begin in March.
