Segro lets Slough data centre

Segro has let a 61,000 sq ft data centre unit at its 7.5m sq ft Slough Trading Estate to US technology company SAVVIS.

The unit has been let on a 20-year lease at a rent of around £13 per sq ft.

Other tenants at the 487-acre sq ft estate include Ferrari, Black & Decker and O2.

Earlier this month, Harley Davidson announced it would open a 10,000 sq ft showroom at the estate.

Kevin O’Connor, director of the Slough Trading Estate, said: “We are delighted to have been the location of choice for such a highly respected global brand as SAVVIS.”

Jones Lang LaSalle represented Slough Trading Estate for the deal; while SAVVIS was advised by CBRE
