Punch stakeholder QVT is reported to have decided to vote against the pub group’s proposed merger with Mitchells & Butlers (M&B).
Blue Oar Securities commented that no one had been granted access to M&B’s books and the company would be awaiting further approaches.
QVT raised its stake to seven per cent in a bid to derail a deal.
