US property company Tishman Speyer has made its third acquisition for its core European fund with a £280m deal in London.
The European Strategic Office Fund has bought Goldman Sachs’ 34,000m² European headquarters building on Fleet Street, EC4. The building is Tishman’s second London purchase for its fund, but the company’s eighth since 1995. The fund also owns the 34,442m² Leadenhall Court in the City, which it bought for £63m, and a 16,500m² building on Via Santa Margherita in Milan, which is fully let to an Italian bank.
The closed-end fund has around 450m in equity commitments and a 2.1bn investment capacity.
