Danish pension institution ATP has made its debut outside Denmark with a ¬50m investment into LaSalle Investment Management’s Euro Growth II fund.
The investment is part of ATP’s plan to pour up to ¬500m into international property over the next four years. Michael Nielsen, investment manager at ATP, said: “We endeavour to realise high, long-term yields without running unacceptable risks. Our European investment policy underlines this approach.”
The Euro Growth II fund, which recently announced its first closing after raising ¬190m in equity, has a strategy of investing mainly in the eurozone.
ATP will put money into a further 15 to 20 European property investment funds over the next four years, bringing the value of its property portfolio up to ¬2.2bn.
