The sale of Marignan, France’s fifth largest property company, is being finalised. Its co-chairman, Paul Barnaud, said talks had been going on for a month and should end by July. The buyer is thought to be Bouwfonds, a subsidiary of the Dutch ABN AMRO bank. Kaufman & Broad has decided not to go ahead with negotiations given the interest of the Dutch in buying into the French market.
