Peacock is set to take the helm at JLL

Chris Peacock, the present deputy chief executive and chief operating officer of global agent Jones Lang LaSalle, is thought to be in line to take control of the company when its US chairman and chief executive officer Stuart Scott steps back to take a part-time role the end of the year.

Peacock is set to assume Scott’s role and give up the COO title to another. Peacock and Scott were the architects of the merger between the UK’s Jones Lang Wootton and the Chicago-based LaSalle in 1998.

A JLL source said: “We are pretty pleased that Chris Peacock is taking the tiller. The European end of the operation has performed amazingly well in the past three years. The operational head office of JLL is in London. It seems right that an Englishman should be given a go.”

JLL has more than 100 offices worldwide and 65m m2 under management.
