Danish developer TK Development has signed an agreement with Dutch company Ahold Real Estate to build a new 31,500m2 shopping centre in Slovakia. TK will participate in the development through its subsidiary Euro Mall Holding. The scheme will be carried out through a development company set up for the purpose. Euro Mall will own 37.5%, Ahold takes 37.5%, while local partner Lakemead Services will participate with the remaining 25%.
The new project is the fourth shopping centre project agreed under the co-operation agreement which TK and Ahold entered into last April. The centre is located in second city Kosice, in the eastern part of the country.
In addition to the shopping centre, which will be anchored by a hypermarket, there is potential for a retail park.
