Steigenberger aims for 4% increase

Steigenberger Hotels’ CEO Karl Anton Schattmaier said his firm would aim for a 4% increase in turnover to €434.6m (DM850m) this year.

A large part of the additional revenue would be generated by the six new railway stations and airport restaurants Steigenberger plans to open in 2001. Locations include the airport of Düsseldorf and the railway stations of Bremen, Mainz, Mannheim and Nürnberg.

This will lead to a 50% increase in the division’s turnover from €16.9m (DM33.1m) to €25.6m (DM50m). Schattmaier also said the group would expand its hotel chain from 70 to 74 locations.
