Hot on the heels of its successful 2.3bn (L4.4trn) bid for Italian property company Unim, Milano Centrale has announced a joint play for the property portfolio of Eni in association with German group TMW.
Eni’s real estate arm is called Immobiliare Metanopoli and the portfolio includes 270,000m2 of offices and 95,000m2 of retail in Milan, Rome and San Donatello Milanese plus 3m m2 of development land around Milan.
This month TMW announced it was building a 6bn real estate company through a series of portfolio and corporate acquisitions and sharedholdings in top European property firms. It is backed by two of Germany’s largest insurers, quoted company Ergo and state-owned Provinzial.
