Lane will leave NNDC in April. He will continue to sit on the board of the National Housing and Planning Advice Unit (NHPAU).
The board of NNDC is now looking for a replacement and hopes to make an announcement within the next couple of weeks.
While at NNDC, Lane has led the regeneration and housing growth programmes in the

Lane came to the area in 2002, when he was appointed chief executive of URC Catalyst Corby, prior to the launch of its regeneration framework in January 2003.

Lane plans to take a short sabbatical, after which he plans to explore new opportunities in housing and regeneration.
