CBRE makes Fortune 500 list

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) group has moved into the Fortune 500 list in the latest issue of the US’s Fortune magazine.

The Los Angeles-based company’s previous ranking was 520.

CBRE’s introduction into the prestigious club is the first time a commercial property agent has made the list.

However, it is the second largest commercial property company in the rankings. CBRE was beaten by ProLogis, which came in at number 387.

The Fortune 500 is an annual list compiled by Fortune magazine of the top 500 listed US companies measured by gross revenues.

Wall Mart topped the 2008 list with $379bn (£192bn) of revenue in 2007. It was followed by Exxon Mobil.

CBRE generated $6bn (£3bn) of revenue last year.
