Mason family off-loads Sefton office building

The Liverpool-based Mason family has sold its 35,000 sq ft Atlantic House building in Sefton on Merseyside.

Social landlord One Vision Housing has bought the block from the family, which owns the Mason & Partners commercial agency practice, for an undisclosed six-figure sum.

The sale is believed to be the largest out of town investment deal on Merseyside this year.

The block forms part of the Atlantic Park estate, north of Liverpool, where Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) is developing 835,000 sq ft of offices and industrial space.

RLAM purchased Atlantic Park from the Masons in 2006 but the family retained sole ownership of a 1.4-acre parcel, where Atlantic House was developed.

The building is due for completion in October.

Mason & Partners and Hitchcock Wright & Partners advised the seller. The project was financed by Anglo Irish Bank and had European Objective One funding.
