First tenant signs for Brum’s Maple House

Maple House

Stoford Developments and joint venture partner GE Real Estate have signed the first tenant at Maple House in Birmingham’s city centre.

ETC Venues, providers of meeting, training and event venues, has agreed to take 15,000 sq ft of space at the refurbished 44,000 sq ft office building on Corporation Street as the first stage of a national roll out programme.

The London-based company will move into one and half floors of the office block on a 15-year lease at a rent of £22.50 per sq ft next month.

Maple House, which overlooks Corporation Street, has just benefited from a three-year £1.5m refurbishment.

Alastair Stewart, managing director of ETC Venues, said: “Birmingham’s reputation and the availability of centrally based grade A space convinced us to select Maple House to pioneer our nationwide expansion programme.”

Around 29,000 sq ft of office space remains available at the building on flexible floorplate sizes on flexible terms.

Letting agents are DTZ and GBR. ETC advised itself.
