JLL confirms Manchester office move

Jones Lang LaSalle has confirmed that it will relocate its Manchester office to Chancery Place.

Chancery Place, Manchester

The firm has taken a 15-year lease of 7,800 sq ft on the building’s 10th floor, as tipped by EGi in January.

Jonathan Mills, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Manchester office, said: “Our move to larger premises from our nearby King Street address reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to investing in its North West business.

“We have seen phenomenal growth since we first opened our doors in the city over 13 years ago, with just four members of staff. With a current headcount of 65 people we have simply outgrown our existing space.”

JLL is letting agent for the 105,000 sq ft Chancery Place, alongside Savills. The building, developed by consortium Chancery Place Developments, is located on Brown Street and is due for completion in October.

Architecture practice HKR has also been linked with a letting at the building.

The rent paid is undisclosed but local agents have tipped the building to break the £30 per sq ft rental barrier.
