Developer sought for 34-acre Hemel Hempstead business park

English Partnerships and the East of England Development Agency are seeking a development partner for a 33.8-acre business park in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

The partners recently bought the site and have appointed Lambert Smith Hampton to bring it to market in October.

The site is located within Hemel’s Maylands Business Park which was badly damaged as a result of the Buncefield Oil Depot fire in 2005,

The partners said they hoped the development would “act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the area and help attract new employers to Hemel Hempstead”.

Simon Bishop, projects director for English Partnerships, said: “English Partnerships is committed to ensuring that brownfield land is put to best use.

“In Maylands we are working with our partners to bring forward strategic development land that will assist in the economic growth of Hemel Hempstead, which should provide an important early win during Hemel Hempstead’s period as a Growth Point.”
