Casa Brindisa opens in South Kensington

Spanish tapas restaurant Casa Brindisa is opening its second London tapas restaurant in South Kensington.

The company has taken a 2,000 sq ft former flower shop at 7 – 9 Exhibition Road from landlord South Kensington Estates.

Brindisa, who plan to open late autumn, join other international food retailers in South Kensington including Le Pain Quotidien, La Cave a Fromage, Greenfields Café and most recently the frozen yogurt cafe SNOG.

Brindisa finance director, Ratnesh Bagdai, said: “We had long set our sights to open at South Kensington with a design led by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.

“This new site will allow us to extend our offering that has proved so successful at Borough Market.

“The size and concept allows us to offer not only Tapas, but an eating bar and reservations-led restaurant in the three different rooms of the building. We are all eagerly awaiting the opening.”
