Jeremy Simmons leaves CBRE to go it alone

Leisure specialist Jeremy Simmons has left CB Richard Ellis to set up on his own again.

The agent, who co-founded Berkeley Simmons Davis in 1991 before selling it to now collapsed property services group Erinaceous four years ago, joined CBRE to expand its leisure business in 2006.

It is Simmons last day with the business today.

He said: “The two years I have spent at CBRE have been very enjoyable but the opportunity arose for me to do want I wanted and set up again on my own. I’m not a big corporate company man but have enjoyed every minute of my time with CBRE. I’m looking forward to doing it on my own again”

Simmons has now launched Berkeley Simmons Hotels & Leisure.

He said the new business would “pursue the leisure industry and would deal more with large clients” and that CBRE would be brought in on deals “where appropriate”.
