ROK sells £3m Wigan building

Developer ROK has sold a £3m building at Atherleigh Business Park near Wigan, Greater Manchester.

The sale, brokered by investment consultancy Source IDC, was to a private investor and reflects a net initial yield of 5.56%.

The building is a motorcycle driving test centre, let to the Secretary of State.

Richard Foulkes of Source IDC said: “We were pleased to have secured this sale in a challenging marketplace, indicating the appetite for government-backed income opportunities remains attractive to the long term investors.”

Atherleigh Business Park forms part of Gibfield Park enterprise zone, three miles from junction five of the M61.

DTZ represented the purchaser.
