Las Iguanas moves into The Oracle

Latin American-themed chain Las Iguanas has taken a 3,200 sq ft restaurant at Hammerson’s 700,000 sq ft The Oracle shopping centre in Reading, Berkshire.

Las Iguanas, which was founded in Bristol in 1991, has secured a 25-year lease. The 136-seat restaurant will be the chain’s 22nd.

David Rawlinson, partner at Restaurant Property, which advised Las Iguanas, said: “Las Iguanas new premises were previously occupied by pub chain Bar Med. It reflects a trend of bars and pubs closing to make way for a stronger restaurant sector.”

Cushman & Wakefield and DTZ advised Hammerson.
