Rightmove has posted stronger than expected first-half results, with July the strongest month ever for house buyer activity and signs of growth again in advertisers and their spend with Rightmove.
The property website said the number of advertisers was up 1% since 31 December, with an average spend per advertiser also up 1% at £305 per month.
The results will add hope to the recent evidence that the housing slump is almost over; the company said that 2009 and 2010 profits were likely to be better than expected.
