Inditex takes space on London’s Oxford Street

Spanish fashion and homeware retailer, Inditex, has secured two shops at Legal & General Property’s 315-319 Oxford Street, W1, for its Massimo Dutti and Pull and Bear brands.

The two equal-sized shops, which are 17,200 sq ft in total, are due to open on 27 August.

The property was previously occupied by American retailer GAP with office space on the floors above. It has since undergone a redevelopment, including the extension of the central courtyard and the addition of 14 residential apartments.

Nick Baker, fund manager at Legal & General Property, said: “We are pleased to have been able to significantly increase the size and spec of this prime Oxford Street site, helping to complement the larger regeneration and revival of London’s core central shopping district.”

“It is a testament of the development’s success that we secured a pre-let so early on in the process and to a strong covenant, who, even in the current climate is still expanding at a rapid rate. We look forward to welcoming them to this newly rejuvenated part of Oxford Street.”

CBRE advised Legal & General Property; Harper Dennis Hobbs advised Inditex.
