Doosan buys Unilever’s former home in Crawley

South Korean engineering firm Doosan Babcock Energy has bought Unilever’s former building in Crawley, West Sussex, from PRUPIM.

It is understood that Doosan will pay around £7.5m for the 117,000 sq ft Brooke House, which is located on the Manor Royal Estate, just outside Crawley.

Doosan will relocate to Brooke House from around 70,000 sq ft of offices in Crawley town centre.

It will use the premises as its UK headquarters.

Consumer goods giant Unilever vacated the building, which was developed in the early 1990s, in 2008 when it consolidated into an HQ at Leatherhead Office Park in Surrey.

Unilever’s lease expired in February.

DTZ acted for Doosan Babcock Energy and Knight Frank and Stiles Harold Williams acted for PRUPIM.

All parties declined to comment.
