Some 450 people crammed into auction house Symonds & Sampson’s 30 October auction at Digby Hall in Sherborne, Dorset, raising £4.4m.
This was its second-highest result this year, with 17 out of 22 lots selling – a 78% success rate.
Key sales included a vacant pub in Salisbury that made 60% above its £150,000 guide, selling at £240,000; and a bungalow with 3 acres in Blandford, guided at £325,000, which made £505,000.
