Arsenal Football Club has submitted a detailed planning application to the London borough of Islington for a university accommodation scheme as part of the regeneration around its Emirates Stadium.
The mixed-use development, designed by architects CZWG and muf architecture/art consulting, will include a student residential tower and landscaped public space.
The 25-storey tower has commercial uses on ground floor, as well as 88 student accommodation units above.
The top floor includes a double-height common room space with mezzanine and external terrace.
A public restaurant and bar has also been planned for the 23rd floor.
The scheme forms part of the overall regeneration plans for Highbury, which was brought about by the Premier League club moving to its new 60,000-seat stadium.
